But I've seen some strange judging; where a dog didn't get placed in it's class, then won a "specialist" class and went on to beat the dog that beat it in the origional class, in the final !! But at the end of the day, the judges decision must be accepted, he has went into the ring to do a job, usually for free, and only makes one freind; the winner !!! Cheers. The judge decided to "keep it in the family", and Lima got Reserve. 2nd time I showed her, I realy liked the dog she was up against in the final, and I thought the judge made the right decision, and she was Reserve again. 3rd show, I thought she was outstanding in the final, and the judge agreed ! Supreme Champion ! Point I'm trying to make is; some you win, some you lose fairly, and some you get cheated !!!! It's all part of showing a dog ! LOL ! Cheers. There were so many deerhound x's entered that were not put in the main over 23 rough dog, plus there were bitches entered too. Hope that this makes it a little clearer and answers your question satisfactorily. Its a hard job to do, as you can never please everyone, but like I say, I always try to be as fair as possible when judging as I have been in this game for over 20 years and have judged shows all over the country.
