best bait advice for live catch rat catch

tin of tuna fish cheap one pop some hole in the tin for the smell to come out but dont open it that work for use very well atb

the type of trap ive got is one with a bait hook not a pressure plate how much tuna should i place on hook :)

Aye meat is good for a bait hook, even tinned luncheon meat works well.

 

Best results come when the food supply they are normally finding to feed on is taken away, or made inaccesible, otherwise most of them will disregard bait in the trap and carry on with their usual feeding.

pup as much meat on as you can bud atb keano ;)

wouldnt then the rat be able to chew off what it wants without setting off the trap?

i always use chocolate never fail with twix

% catch rate (only 3/3) since baiting my live catch traps. HTH. Cheers, D.

 

 

I always used to use chocolate, Maltesers being my best catchers but on the advice of Moletrapper,

bird table fat balls are the biz. 100% catch rate since switching (only 3/3) In catch alive traps but confident of several more.
