Hi, just wondering if the female ferrets will all be safe together. I dont really want, " i think so" as it would be to late if something went wrong. I need to know of someone who has already done this.

Will the other females in the ferret shed be all right with the young, and will they all help out? And if the answer is no, would two gills with a litter a piece all be ok together? And would both mums muck in?

The males have already been moved....

Thanks.

I used to keep three jills together in Kit and they used to look after each other and thier kits,,But as the kits got a bit bigger the jills would start to eat the other jills kits so from then on i seperated them and dident loose as many kits,,However i only have one Jill now and she will be put into kit this weekend i hope so i can start to get stocked up agian.

took some time searching that old post out, but here it is, remember, all ferts are different, cant gurantee this would be ok every time, we still have one of the jill kitts "weasel" a very small polecat, lives in the house with another of our daughter's pet ferts

I think Stubby had an accidental litter last year, with all the jills in together. :hmm:

I think they worked out OK.

best laid plans never go right as there were no planned kitts this year, just back from ferreting, went to close the court up, and discovered this
