Well done shotty. It will soon be time to take the young off the branches with the airgun. We have one local rookery on my permission. Of course there are more but they are in church yards etc, I have never offered to clear one of those... I wonder...

 

Keep up the battle mate, only several more thousand to go and we will make a dent...

he knows that both rooks and crows are legal to shoot under the general licesnse so it dosent matter if he cant tell the difference between the 2. if it was somethiong like he couldent tell the difference between ferals and stock doves it would be a little more serious.

thanks thats just what i was goingto say and some poeple need to stop nippicking

If you can't tell the difference between a Rook and a Crow then what happens when you mistake a Crow for a Chough or a Rook for a Raven?

 

Know your quarry or leave it to someone who does. It's not nitpicking it's the first law of hunting or pest control. It doesn't take long to learn and you will be a wiser man for knowing. Why not buy a book on corvids?

i know the differance between a chough and raven but i will take what you said into account. and as far as leaving it to someone who does the previos shooters were kicked of for been messy so there is nobody else. its not like ive shot anything im not aloud to so chill out.

Ziggy are you honestly telling me that when you pull the trigger you know for sure that it is a rook as opposed to a crow and vice versa ? The computer says....................No :thumbs:

I do! Anyone who shoots wildlife should be able to ID everything they shoot at and know what other species look similar. How about a feral pigeon and stock dove???
