lurchergrrl 1,441
There's no logical reason for the snip to change anything about the dogs' prey drive or abilities. They won't get heavy either, you just keep them fit as usual. In fact it often doesn't change much. People say it calms them down, not necessarily so. They would be less prone to wandering off after a bitch but that's about it.
franny958 0
i got my pat done and its not changed him one bit only got him done cos he was humping everything lol
Cold Ethyl 63
Not convinced it changes the dog either mines entire still but a pals dog got the snip a year ago cos hes a bitch chaser and it hasnt stopped him he still humps things and acts like a tube most of the time. The dog wont get fat unless you feed it too much either
collie/grey 238
The only time a dogs character will change after being neutered is if the dog has not matured, once matured the character will remain the same regardless.
lofti 579
my mate has a wolfhound x its a rescue dog and when he got it had the running dog shape about him. altho hes not a hunter it gets lots of exercise and a good diet but hes realy bulky now, spose he could be fitter tho. so unless you plan to use your dog as stud it can be a good thing to do . thanks for replies everyone just wonderd. lofti.
