Guest buster321c
Right , ive been out 3 times this week and got a couple , but it seems that there aint many on my permission any more . Its not like im only there for an hour or so , i make sure i have plenty of time for a good mooch round . I think the most ive seen on a visit this week has been 4 which aint a lot really , and it makes it harder when you have to go and find the feckers , to shoot em . Well yesterday i got there about 12:30 , my kids ride at the stables down the road so while i was in the area i thought ide have a go , and i had my stuff in the car from the night before so i kitted up and went for a look . It was a slow day , i saw a couple , had one but it evaded capture after it went under a holly bush , and there were some showers , but all in all , slow . I got to thinking they gotta be somewhere , and the guy who owns the feild next to the farm house is a miserable twat , hes told me in no uncertain terms im not to go on his land , and hes always there late messin in his poly tunnels anyway. Fair enough , so i put the gun away for a while and just went for a walk about in the near by feilds to get an idea of whats going on . Not much at the back or side , cattle , sheep , few rabbits but not much . Now the `white van man` as me and the lad call him ( poly tunnel guy ) has a bank on one side of his feild , think at one time it was a railway track of sorts . on the other side of that is a small strip of land , unkept , and no signs of use, about 150yds wide and 600 yds long . So one side is the bank , the other side is a main road , and at the bottom of the feild is a pumping station . I looked throught my bino`s and at the bottom , near the pumping station , they were there , about 40 at least , just grazing , and playing , and it dawned on me that nobody ever comes in here , the pumping station entrance is on the road so they would never get disturbed ,white van man never drives on this feild ,and i dont mooch round on it so there`s nobody but them . Untill i get permission i doubt i would go into the feild , so im in the process of talking with the water company , but how the hell do you find out who owns the land ?? Ive done the obvious , looked on google earth and theres no sign of track indicating where somebody would go to/from there , and the nearest farm is the one i go to but they dont know so im kinda stuck at the minute . Im kinda thinking that the water company only own the bit that the station is on , so theres the rest . Any ideas would be helpfull how i can find out who owns it , but untill i get the all clear i wont be going on it Quote Link to post

Guest buster321c
Well ive been on the land registry website and i can find out who owns it for £3 , which is worth it cause for the sake of £3 i could get permission so why risk it , and the open access site so i know as much as i could possibly know with out talking to land registry ( office hours only ) . But the interesting thing that ive found out is that `white van man ` does`nt own it so he can get fecked , i`ll keep you informed how i get on , funny , ive never looked into it like this before , might be a good tool to use ( land reg ) cheers for now , Buster Quote Link to post

Swampy 147
Just a short note to remind you that even though the landlord gives you permission to shoot his land it still could be down to the tennant as to whether he allows you. It is all dependent on the lease/rental agreement the tennant has with the landlord. Had a case where landlord gave permission to a FAC gunner for his land. Only to find out that the tennent had the right to refuse shooting. The land was specifically rented for the use of horses. Got the poor bloke in right shi*te with the old bill. So careful!
