I set snares saturday morning and i checked them this morning. I will be picking them up tommorow. May i add, all rabbits were perfectly neck snared. The total was 11, but i only have 9 as 1 rabbit was a wee un & one had gone to the foxes.

Peg Snared

 

This rabbit was caught, round its neck, but the top of the snare was in front of its lug's.

 

This is the way that the warrener describes how he catches his rabbits in his "bullseye snares" which apparently breaks their necks. I'll assure you this rabbit did not have a broken neck (well it did, after i done it) it was well and truly alive

That farm i was on has an estimated 150-200 rabbits on it at the moment, and more young uns to come. SO im gonna have to hammer it to keep the farmer happy

well done mate i set about twenty wires in long grass,i pm woodga for some advice on the correct way to set them in long grass,i bagged three but most the wires where knocked because i did not set them high enough still i will remember for next time.

Got a few this morning again. Lifted the snares up as im at work tommorow.

 

I caught 9 in total, one was a young un' and when i got to the van i only had 7 so it's probably came off the legger at some point

oh yes its fun. you would have though pulling rabbit after rabbit from a snare would get boring, but its not

No,the pic is too bright.At a guess its directly above the rabbits front feet
