as the number of dog thefts are so hi from the scum across the country i was woundering wether one day this may be invented

 

we have trackers on cars to find them once stolen if a tiny tracker the size of a micro chip could be made that would go under the skin of a dog then if in the unfortunat case it gets stolen then the dog could be tracked found retrived returned and the scum delt with

 

i in my own option think if this could be made it would work and would stop dog thefts or at least cut them down 95%

 

the only thing i would worrie is how much it would be and would it be able to be made

Now i Think that this is a VERY gd idea that would sort the problem out by a fair bit. And if the person who owns the dog then they would need to arange a form signing the dog over to them to save people taking the piss. (saying its been stolen when its not its actually been sold). If it was a chip then they could update the records and the new owner would have proof of purchess.

excellent idea, after all in a car its only a chip, so why not in a dog, make people sign for a dog if its sold on a proper document as you do a car, good idea.

I dont think i would like someone i dont know knowing exactly where i was and when i was there. Yes it would be good for getting a dog back but if you wiegh up the pros and cons i dont think it would be good.

I seem to remember something like this for kids mobile phones so you knew exactly where they are. i wonder what it would cost for dogs. its a great idea

or may be that data on the chip can only be activated by the person who owns the dog eg like a control ect once the dog was stolen then the chip can be activated only one activation per chip

i have heard of people removing micro chips so i think it would happen. not sure where you would put it for it to be hard to remove without making it hard or more to the point expensive to put in ?
