j davies 8 Posted March 13, 2009 Report Share Posted March 13, 2009 had my ferret 3 year and in that time they have never had rabbit or any game food only dry food from pet shop my dad had 40 ferrets and always fed them bred and milk. my ferrets have turned out fo be as good as any ones when they kill in the hole i find they come out within min. so all i want to sy is they dont need to be fed what they hunt its in them any way Quote Link to post

Theres summat in that dry food that makes them want to eat & eat & eat , i noticed it with the hobs especially & they went very flabby very quick Quote Link to post
andy s410c 63 Posted March 13, 2009 Report Share Posted March 13, 2009 I've still got half a bag of Chudleys from last spring & once it's gone i don't think i'll bother getting another....never fed them on dry before until then.Their on DOC till May,with a small portion of dry a few nights a week & they'll be back on rabbit & any other legal airgun quarry i can bag. maphunter 0 Posted March 14, 2009 Report Share Posted March 14, 2009 I FEED DRY FOOD IN SUMMER TO CUT DOWN ON THE SMELL, I ALWAYS FEED FRESH MEAT IN THE WINTER MONTHS TO KEEP EM IN TIP TOP CONDITION...I THINK THE REASON THE WEIGHT BALOONS IS THE AMOUNT OF WATER THEY GET THROUGH.. Quote Link to post
