i have this two year old bitch lurcher to lurcher cross with a fair dash of saluki had her for four months now great bitch in every way more than chuffed with her perfrmance but feck me the slightest bang or quick movement and she is as nervous as hell is there any way to fix this other than time and patience

no, not that i've ever found.........(you probably already know this but i'll say it anyway lol and don't mean to sound preachy)but when she reacts nervously just ignore her, if you say things in a reassurring voice such as its ok etc you end up actually teaching them its ok to act like that.........just ignore it and keep her in the company of dogs that don't react to noise and try to build up to louder noises.....such as clicking fingers to start with then clapping but don't clap at her, ignore if she reacts praise if she doesn't, but takes time

these saluki dogs are the most temperamental animals you will eve own i reckon,they can be a bit funny in the head at times. i wouldnt change them for anything tho.i hope she comes all right for you mate :good::good:
