Lola 0
He's lost alot of his rough coat already. Is that usual for it to change so much as he matures? He's only around 12 months. Quote Link to post

lurchers 2,974
you only use your finger and thumb and pull a couple of hairs out at a time Quote Link to post
Lola 0
I've stripped a border terrier before and was really pleased with the result for a first attempt. Just wasn't sure whether it was beneficial for a lurcher. before Quote Link to post

Its just that TJ is one of the best there is and he likes to pass his dog grooming knowledge on ....he once gave me a good tip about muddy feet and baby wypes Quote Link to post
Lola 0
I started to strip my bitch the other day. I will spend another two or three sessions I use a strippinng knife, it leaves her much more comfortable for the summer and she loves it too. When her coat comes back in the atumn it is good quality and keeps her warm and dry in bad weather. Cheers bog, I'll start him off. I have a stripping stone which I'll try but do have stripping knives too. Not sure if I'm keeping him now though Quote Link to post
Hannah4181 260
I've just stripped spider out, i do my sisters border twice a year as well. I think its good for the coat and also as mentioned it keeps them cooler in summer. I just use my hands as i find it gets it out more evenly than a knife. Quote Link to post
