Depends on your definition of better. The bigger lightforce are a little brighter, but cost more, eat batteries quicker, are more expensive and in my experience have daft reliability problems!! The Max Pro is a good all round package of lamp, scope mount, charger, cigar lighter adapter, battery, carry pouch, dimmer switch and if you get one from Uttings at the moment just £99 for the LOT and a free red filter.....I'm very happy with mine as it does everything I want and I recon it's a good package...doesn't necessarily mean it's the best!! I have the metal mounts permanently on all my scopes, I also run a Mini Pro........I use these for mounts... HM5207 Weaver 1" HIGH Two Piece £ 6.50 AVAILABLE from Deben...price is for a PAIR... Deben charge £7.50 EACH for their metal scope mounts for the Tracer....so even if you only want one it is still cheaper. They are the same thing!!! Saves a fortune!!! But don't tell anyone I told you!!!! PS ..as others have said the Lightforce with the larger lamp has a better beam...but it should, it's twice the power and eats batteries, like I said ..the Deben Max Pro does everything I want of it and I consider it a good package! £99..I'd say pretty fair for everything you get, hopefully you will agree when yours arrives!!
