25 Does it for me Perfect although an inch smaller or inch taller doesn't make much diff. for the ground i work but no smaller than 24 and certainly no bigger than 26 just my preferance but alot of it depends on the ground you run and the Quarry

well in my expierience size dont count to much as my current dog is 21 inch and can run and fill the bag on any ground i take him onok in the big flat lands he struggles a bit but will still catch you show him nice bits of fell land and reedy land and he will catch all day long without putting much effort in at all

I prefer smaller, light boned dogs, around 20/ 23 inches, as i believe they are quicker off the mark, and have more agility. regards collie john.

aslong as they do the job in hand , thats all that matters , sex/height , doesnt matter
