Used to get real gypsy's park their caravan by the local station for the winter, that's a horse drawn caravan by the way, then sell pegs and lace round the village. My other half spent a lot of his younger days with what he says are proper gypsies, and he reckons that their very loyal people, and dont like it if another from their area were to blacken their reputation. He also tells me that the ones wo live close to us are not proper gypsies which brings me to a question for you all.... What is a proper Gypsy? Im aware that they are romany (and have also read that there are irish) but what is the differences between a "proper" gyspy and well... not a proper one.... sorry if i sound a bit ignorant on this but i have had a sheltered life......lol Link to post Share on other sites
