Guest night time my time
they were retrieveing whole dead rabbits stright back to hand ans sitting to give them up,was a treat to watch, would make top feild trile dogs,so much for those that said they would be hard to train,as inteligent as collies all day long, not putting collie down, they 're my 1st choice every time but these are definately up there as a good alround lurcher Quote Link to post

Guest stormy
the bitch does have the longer back, you should feel the weight in her, whatever she hits is going over, shes going to be a very powerfull bitch,as is the dog, his more compact, they're dogs for a job or 2 thats for sure, they've all gone to good lads on here like we wanted so should get to see them come on,maybe a 2nd x in the future if there is demand for them, Quote Link to post
caterpiller 10
I think Fireman has made a cracking job of rearing them Quote Link to post
wild rover 548
the bitch does have the longer back, you should feel the weight in her, whatever she hits is going over, shes going to be a very powerfull bitch,as is the dog, his more compact, they're dogs for a job or 2 thats for sure, they've all gone to good lads on here like we wanted so should get to see them come on,maybe a 2nd x in the future if there is demand for them, Regarding composition, in the past I have picked the shorter coupled, the one more cattle dog in stature, I felt they had more drive than the lighter built greyhoundy type, maybe just coincidental, however they will all make decent workers in the right hands. Terrie 12
only 1 thing to say CRACKERS!!! Quote Link to post
fireman 11,393
That dog pup Wild Rover has allways been the front of the litter,he barked at me whenever i lifted the lid of the kennal from 2 weeks old. He's the first out to see whats going on and allways has been but is a calm lad at the same time, never gets to excited and now comes over and sits and waits for his fuss.My bitch is a bit more excitable and wags her whole body not just her tail, they just have a different way going about things at the moment but niether is fazed by anything so far.Just can't wait for next season to tell you the truth, the proof is in the pudding as they say. Can't wait to see the results myself mate, should be real ones, sounds like both pups are spot on, my bitch is very switched on, lively and clever, all tail wagging and very responsive, so far has been introduced to ferreting and mooching, took to it no bother, weather been crap but she has caught about 23 rabbits in total through day, very pleased. caterpiller 10
Hopefully Wild Rover, by this time next year, they should have had plenty of Ferreting,Lamping and Mooching. All we can do now is give them our time and BEST OF CARE and hopefully, myself and Fireman will be well chuffed with our 2. Have you got and recent close up shots of your 2? i really liked the look of your Black Dog, he's a 2nd Generation 1st cross is'nt he? is he out of Simons stuff? i really liked the look of that Red Dog from that 1st litter Simon Bred, also a little Brindle Dog/Bitch who i think was out of ' Breeze ' to ' Marrillion' the Racing Whippet from up Newcastle area?
