woodga 170 Posted April 20, 2006 Report Share Posted April 20, 2006 HOW BIG SHOULD THE PEGS BE FOR RABBIT SNARES AND WHATS THE BEST WAY TO ATTACH THEM TO THE PEG THEY ARE THE EVERYDAY SNARE WITH WOOLEN CORD YOU CAN BUY FROM EVERYWHERE ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT PEOPLE THANKS :ph34r: those snare are to be blunt shite , but since you have them and you want to use them as peg wires you can add a peg made of hard wood 6 or 7 inches long your choice depending on the ground you want to snare drill a hole 1 inch from the top of the peg put the twine through this hole tie a double knot that wont slip back through the hole when pulled,then cut a few hazel tealers about as thick as a pencil around 7 inces long make a slit in the top of this wand to hold your snare wire over the run when you have knocked the peg in along the line of travel , this is old style snaring you would be better off taking the string off useing the wires as fence snares and getting custom made peg wires for the job like these GOOD HUNTING ALL WOODGA :ph34r: Quote Link to post
