Kay 3,709
What is she housed on a wooden floor or slabs ? What i would do if there really long is to feed a good meat meal & when she is full get her out & if you have a drop of olive oil put some on her tummy & while she is busy licking it off you can clip the ends of the nails, bellow the pink bit Quote Link to post
Hob&Jill 258
I hold mine up by the scruff with one hand and clip with the other, seems the quickest way for me. Edited December 31, 2008 by Hob&Jill Quote Link to post

Sorry not near you,I find that the best way is stop trying to pick her up.try letting her come to you. I put them in a smaller cage to begin with, before they go into main hutch. I have on occasion put that bitter lemon on my fingers y'know that anti-bite furniture stuff for pups, like fingers taste nasty. She's female mate,we bite when handled rough sofly softly, take your time.lol Then again i got hammered by a ferret nick-named EVIL scarred, looks like a vampire bite. I wouldnt worry to much about nails unless there really overgrown , concentrate on getting her trust & plenty of snap down her for now If you add a run to her set up the slabs should keep her nails down Quote Link to post

justin 2
if the ferrets nails are that curled over then its no wonder shes suffering permanent pmt...get someone to help you... and then one of you can hold her head and legs and the other can clip the nails...afterwards, put a paving slab or two in the hutch for her to wear her nails down natrualy...good luck...
