pigeon-lamping.

i shoot feral pidgeons regularly on a farm and i have wondered about lamping them at night because Andy Richardson does this the "Sporting air rifle"dvd and it proves very effective...but...on a thread on here someone said that lamping pidgeons is illegel. Is this true?because if it is i wont do it.

The only bird your allowed to lamp, its really effective asweel especially in barns and stuf...not sportin mind.

done plenty in my past very affective but its ok going in the day but as soon as they know whats going on ther off every time you can clear a barn in no time doing this

Mate had 76 ferals out of a barn, that never usually holds, in less than an hour. No sport but farmer was happy due to the amount of shit they were leaving. Also 20 odd rats & a rabbit same nite.

bit of a grey area!

i think you have to be able to say/prove that you have tried with in reason to move the birds on by none lethal means and that you need to prove you are controling them for reasons of public health, prevention of desease, damage to live stock, crops/feed, buildings ect!

They are vermin you can lamp them inside of any building and as for sporting! they are vermin Just splat them!
