Half brother half sister, one of the best breeding alternatives for almost any kind of live stock

Ya these have the same genetic closeness as father daughter breeding i believe. Why is this your prefered cross? Just out of interest

Would it not depend on how close the line had allready been bred? What i mean is that if you have been inbreeding/line breeding to have created the dogs you currently own, then it would be how closely line bred the dogs allready are that determins how close you can breed them. Unless i missunderstood and you mean the first inbred/linebred cross of previously unrelated dogs.

technicly all the dogs within the line are related somewere back i believe you still need to outcross at some stage i suppose thats the clever bit to inprove the line without an outcross at some stage the good traits within the line may become diluted !

hello just a quick question i've never line bred before but i'm going to in the next few years i have the father best dog ive owned don't think i'll see another like him taken most things preban and ive got a young bitch of him she's just started and is showing real promise reminds me alot of the way her father is. Is there anything i should look out for when the pups are born if all goe's well (i want be breeding if she dont prove herself)

i`ve had some good results with father daughter matings show winners and grafters .. things to look out for where to start extra bits  bits missing  hormone problems behavior problems you never know what if any problems this mating will through up .. or what good points

im far from an expert in these maters and it s abit in the future yet farther and doughter youcouldnt get much closer possible malformations

bad traits dont allways come out 1st and 2nd generation a bit to complicated for me although i do have a line bread pure saluki no major problems after 5 generations good luck

Just get the vet to check them for blindness and deafness. also there could be problems with their joints . hip displacia etc. be prepared to cull but these are the risks you have to take to maintain and/or improve your working line and when you get the good traits from previous workers in your new pup it will be well worth it ;)
