Guest lurcherboy2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Report Share Posted December 8, 2008 a lurcher i use to own took 5 a day with ease (roe) he died at 18 months old he took 5 when he was around 12 month with his 1st owner very very fast dog and hes the *up an at em* type hell go for the first possible chance like the bitch i have now shes older pre ban she use to wait for the right time and it resulted in a fair few misses, but the dog zack i had if you put 10 roe infront of him in 1 day hed try his best to pull every 1 of them deer were his favourite kills Quote Link to post
Guest WILF Posted December 8, 2008 Report Share Posted December 8, 2008 i have seen 1 dog take 11 in one night all good fallow but they was in a very big enclosure ,2 dogs take 4 reds including a very big stag ,they also was in a very big enclosure,the most wild fallow i know with one dog was 7 ,the most wild fallow stags with 2 dogs in one night was 3 and 2 does ,i used to see 1 dog take 5 or 6 fallow in one night very regular ,and 2 dogs take the same amount very often .most i ever seen caught in one season is 304 all fallow ,mind you it was all a long time ago 40 odd deer a month is some going My Law ..........fair play to you, not sure I am that comfortable with hunting the park Deer, but hey each to his own. No mean task for a dog is a Fallow.......good dogs you had back then. Never hunted deer myself, but Fallow look like big customers. Quote Link to post

There ARE guys out there taking decent numbers, but what makes me laugh is the fact that these guys don't go on about it; but the "wannabees" will tell you they "Know someone" or "their mate" is doing it , or they "heard about a dog", they aren't actualy doing anything themselves !!
