have 2 6 month old dog ferrets feed them on dry food durin the summer try them on a gutted rabbit on friday nite / till sunday atfernoon but show little sign of eat the rabbit should i just give them dry food r keep tryin the meat ?

Maybe they're vegetarians!!! Do you work them? I gut and skin the rabbits and as soon as I open the door the pair of them latch onto it.

rabbit with the skin on is the best option for a ferret. If its not interested in it just leave it in there, a couple of days in this weather should be fine, dont feed the ferret anything else, when it gets hungry enough it will eat the rabbit. Dont give in, its a ferret and it will not starve itself

It is worth just checking them over first though, makes sure they are ok health wise and not off their food because of any other reason.

you find that ferts fed on a dry diet throughout summer, can sometimes be reluctant to eat rabbit, Id suggest quartering a skined rabbit, saves waste, then chop one quarter into chunks and feed that, as already stated, they wont starve themselves,

Feed roughly a back leg to each of them as said before if you starve them they will eat it ,but i presume your going back to feeding them dry grub in the spring ??

yes both will hopefully c plenty of work and both will b on dry food in the summer

Mine get dry and meat 2 or 3 times a week, i just quatre a skinned and gutted bunny for then, and leave it in a couple of days, im lucky if theres any bones left
