Light force blitz variable

 

Is that the light force blitz you have as your moniker whippeter69? Wow what a size of a lamp If I'd to use that on my ground being as exposed as it is, I'd need to wear a parachute for the landing!!! My lamps only a small itsy bitsy thing. I prefer to lamp my quarry in the field I am in rather than the neighbouring country!!!

my lightforce 170 is on the blink again for about the 100th time and i've only had it a short while... the clulite laser or blaserlites are hard to beat but the only thing that lets them down is the beam cant be tightened down to get long range like the lightforce.... the hinged filter system on the clulites are flippin brilliant...

 

 

i voted for clulite because i've never been let down in over 12 years of lampin with them and i've recently bought a clulite shootalite and its pretty good too and comes with a handle!! the beam can be adjusted on the shootalites but they still dont narrow down as tight as whats needed for some types of lurcher work

 

How do you find the silver reflector OS on the clulite, apparently, its ment to fade after a while?

My next lamp will be a clulite i reckon, as lightforce has also let me dow a few times..

the silver reflector on the laserlite will fade a bit if you put in a 100watt bulb instead of the standard 50watt... the blaserlite has a metal reflector and the 100watt bulb comes as standard... if you already have a laserlite then instead of buying a blaser just pop in a metal reflector and a 100watt bulb and hey presto you have a blaserlite at about the cost of 12 quid.... i dont know what the reflector will be like on the shootalite yet because i havent got putting it through its paces yet but i think if you leave any lamp on for too long you will tarnish the reflector...

Don't forget, the bulb holder for the 50 w is smaller than the one for the 100w, the pins on the bulb are thicker and farther apart !! I know, I tried it !! Also, watch out for the wiring...a 100w has heavier wiring than a 50w, thats why the more powerful Clulite has a straight wire, rather than the coiled one !! Just buy a decent lamp, instead of messing about..... it's better in the long run !!!

I have a Striker but I would like a variable beam. The Clulight has a very good hinged filter so I may try making one for the Striker the Clulights utility light is very usefull but the beam is too wide for me, I have also seen problems in the past with the wireing on the Striker but I sorted mine when I got it and have never had a problem. All in all the Clulight is a well made and usefull light but the Lightforces have the beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeam

I usually use the blazer light or the lazer light with few problems with the lamps. It's the batteries that hack me off. Whats the best battery pack available?

Thanks for that SS, nice kit but a bit pricey and would really prefer a 14 or 17ah one, otherwise would need to buy two!! Cheers, D.

Lightforce is like having a satalite dish in your hand!

 

Clulight is small, light, very strong with a silent on/off switch.

 

The beam for me is perfect, i dont think it's too wide, never failed.

 

20amp/hr is the way to go......

My Clulight has done me several seasons of hard graft, downside is the poor beam IMHO, but the pluses are size and the gate light.. .

 

The nitestalker is pretty well the same as a lightforce striker, but i suspect better wiring, the only thing that has gone on mine is the rocker, but that was hard ware , The plus's are it has a very tight beam, but can be too bright for rabbits sometimes. The downside is size.

 

With the choice I would go for the nitestalker everytime

bit pricey that for a battery ss , you must have more money than soft joe to pay that for a battery lol.

dont buy a battery pack from a fieldsports shop you will pay way over the odds for it.

the best lamp imo is the striker variable power , the blitz is just a bit big for my likings.

I have got the striker fixed to the scope on a 17hmr. even with a red filter u still pick up rabbits at 150yds. best thing i have bought since the .17

Yep it is mate, big lamp isnt it, But a bloody good one
