Id still suggest trying another set of new batteries, before you look at sending it to deben, reason being, had new sealed batteries ready for ferreting today, always check with the battery tester before putting them in the collars, and 3 out of 8 were dead as a dodo, as your stating fine in the house, but not underground, that to me says batteries, both collar and finder

as the unit picks up light swithes and sockets in the house

if a mk3 picks up any electrical activity at all then i suggest sending it back to deben, the mk3 runs on a frequency a million miles from any electrical apperatus in houses/fields/barns etc

make sure you are using silver oxide batteries in the collars and not alkaline

YO! rogues, thats the best advise, change batteries and check locator and collars outside.

i went out yesterday put new batteries i and it didnt work tryed turning them round knowin i'd put them in right decided to leave it in car, then came back after a few hours for a brew and it was flashing away.all i can think of is that it warmed up in the sun on the seat!!!!! its the first time this has happened

no mate, they aint made to work via sunlight, either batteries, or your putting them in the wrong way round, or its fecked

holding the collar in front of you, with the slide of bit to the right, the furthest away battery points up (+) the nearest, points down(-)
