Little Butch 16
"Saturday night, you come out the pub, your wearing the same bottoms you had on when out hunting, the knife still in there. Your walking home at midnight, police turn up, explain to you that there have been car breaks in the area, so the grounds are set for a legal stop and search, officer find's the knife in your pocket!" The Police don't need a reason to stop and search you now, they are aloud to do random stop and searches and you being a teenage lad will be targeted! Butch
Tyla 3,179
As soon as you walk off your drive onto a public footpath/road it becomes an offensive weapon. People can have swords, knifes in their property which is ok. So long as it remains in a dweling. I'm no rozzer mind you! A note, letter in your posession to proove your intentions is needed. Leaving the said object in a vehicle 24HRS is a NO NO. I learnt the hard way!!! That cant be right?!?! i am a chippy and my van is full of potential offensive weapons, am i honestly expected to remove them whenever im not in the van? They have to be joking
Tyla 3,179
its not offence to carry a knife in your hunting bag, If you are going HUNTING! Period, you cannot carry a knife in your possession without a good reason. End of. The cuffs would be straight on my friend. Saturday night, you come out the pub, your wearing the same bottoms you had on when out hunting, the knife still in there. Your walking home at midnight, police turn up, explain to you that there have been car breaks in the area, so the grounds are set for a legal stop and search, officer find's the knife in your pocket! "ok sir i've been hunting earlier" The copper will laugh and nick you for (A) offensive weapon ( having a sharp pointed bladed article in your possession, © going equipped. Now i know you have been hunting, they dont. So down the nick, sober up,(depends on alcohol intake) get interviewed, then depending on previous convictions you will be charged, cautioned, or even let off! Is this worth the hassle? Get it in writting, make sure you leave the knife at home! Locked knifes or not, 3inc or not you will get nicked on the spot without very good proof! Maybe i was unlucky. In his defence(thought you might like the opener artic )JBS did state "In your hunting bag" See Mac, how can i be a "Rozzer" missing the point and overlooking the obvious ..... sounds just like a "rozzer" to me
