Poaching methods of old

befor i start sorry if this has been done befor.

 

 

Im just intrested to hear the poaching methods of old that actually worked.

So im sure there will be a few on hear that know one or two things....

Lets hear 'em'

How far back is "Old" :hmm: Whats the staute of limitations expiry date? :angel:

 

 

Basically all the more sly mostly forgotten methods, not the general snares, moonligh ferreting ect..

just things that have been told down generations and so on. Dont have to be old to know poaching methods of old :thumbs:

my first and formost that ive taught myself be on your toes and dont get caught :victory:

 

 

Good point, thats why i always stash my catch in different places so im not weighd down i keeper/farmer decides to go for a early morning wander

If all these 'poaching methods' were as good as some say they are, why aren't they used on permissions up and down the country? :hmm:

 

Some of these supposed methods were just invented by authors wanting to make good reading half the time, the hunters version of old Wife's tales IMO.

Yeah but theres certain things you can do on permission but not on private land

Granted some of the stories are a load of shite

I mean as regards to shotguns and the linke, can't use 12bore at 2am on private land can ye, or youll be on your toes
