Kit you've loved and lost

Recommended Posts

I'm sure we've all done it at some point, the site seems a little highly strung at the moment so hopefully this is something we all have in common :drinks:

My most fraustrating loss was the suspected backfilling of a mk1 locator box that was never seen again. I foolishly assumed it was at the bottom of my bag of wet nets and used my mates for the rest of the day. :wallbash:

I've carelessley lost a couple of knives while paunching rabbits and a very expensive one belonging to my dad that i left stuck in a a tree while i was bored acting as a stop at a shoot.

My most upsetting loss was a hod ferret a mate put a shovel through trying to get through a root

..and although it doesn't really count... my most serious loss (potentially as i found it after an hour or so) was losing the bolt of my 6.5. I removed it as i was walking on a footpath to a stakling ground and, like a dumb ass, put it in my jacket pocket. I caught my 'upper inside leg' (nuts) on an electric fence that was supposed to be off. Needless to say it made me jump but i didn't notice the bolt fall out... talk about cold sweats and colourful language :censored::toast:

:clapper: ... if they were dirty enough you may have a lasting memento... ie, an itch followed by a nob swab :icon_eek: .

Sympathies with people who have lost hunting companions, animal or human. Wasnt looking to bring back sad memories. :victory:

Selling my old Rapid 7, one of the very first to come into the UK :wallbash:

I really wanted one of them... didn't a bloke in Airgunner magazine have one with a milkbottle sized scope on it back in the 90's.

I've got a scope like that on my Air Wolf to keep an eye on the moon
