High Accent 1
i have experience of this kid...the bros deerhoundx grey had this and got an operation and it got removed when he was 12 months old...vet wanted him to be that age due to the risks of anistetic..... vet said that the testicles when in normal position are cooled in the sack when hangin but with the testicle dont drop it has no way to cool and can affect the dogs performance as dog will overheat quicker and there was a chance it become cancerous... operation cost 135 euros and dog is now 2 and workin well even though he has only 1 ball.... heres a pic of him...nice and fit and heathy..he is the big dog on the right I like the one on the left , is her name two face by any chance? Dawn B 212
Retained testicles are an inherited genetic fault, so your dog should not be bred from, and of course inform the breeder of what they are breeding! As far as your dog is concerned, dont worry about it untill the dog is about 14mths or so, there is every chance the other will drop by itself up till that time. If not by then, have it removed, wither just the retained one or both. Quote Link to post
