IanB 0
1st one the rabbit would probably jump through it if it came through the mesh or get caught around the body... 2nd one stretch the mesh top/bottom to increase size and kill area whilst leaving enough space for feet to pass under... 3rd won't catch anything.. MR TEA POT 1,287
When i was fence snaring up north i couldn't tell which holes the rabbits was running through, woodga then shown me. The fence wire is a kind of dirty colour as apossed to the sliver colour of the fence,it is where the rabbits belly fur rubs on the fence strand. Hope that makes sence to you,i am not very good at putting things i have been shown into words . Quote Link to post
ianrob 2
Well sorry to say lads i haven't caught nothing in my 8 snares, what am i doing wrong, im frustrated at the moment i have done everything it say's on the snaring topic but i haven't got any rabbit's could anyone help me please heres a few pictures it only shows 3 because i didnt realise i had my phone in my pocket until i was on the 5th snare. The rabbits' feet must go under the snare and it's head must go through it so that the neck pushes the bottom of the loop 'till it tightens. It looks to me that no rabbits have been through the snares on your pics, "I may be wrong", but try to visualise the rabbit coming through. Read Glenn Waters articles in detail. Woodga too, he's an excellent snarer, one of Glenn's prodigy's, with his own attitude, excellent. Use pro size snares, and good luck. The guys on here are the business, say little and read a lot, good luck mate. Take care ian Quote Link to post

snareman 3
try cutting the second strand of wire and bend it back.set snare about four inches off the bottom wire. the nooses on the right and left are to low, the one in the middle is to high, the nooses in general look to big , cut the bottom strand in the middle and bend the two parts straight down parallelwith the sides , shape and reset your nooses better , and have the bottom of the snareloop sitting where the bottom fenceline wire used to be , the one that was cut in otherwords.
