Lamp for HMR

looking for a suitable lamp which can attach to scope that can give a good bright beam out to HMR distances , im not wanting something huge and heavy but somitn around maybe 4-5" diamter lens , any advice would be great

Lightforce Lance 140!!

 

yes ideal. but i would just get the 170 it has abit more range plus could be better suited to centrefire if you want to use it on that in future

Lance is 14cm across which is, what, about 5.5 inches? I have one for my .22lr and shotgun, works very well indeed I think myself that the Striker is too big for a rimfire, normally lightweight rifles with a big wind sail on top... If you're going to get a centrefire Liam, and I think you are? Then if you can afford it I'd get both a Lance and a Striker.

the lance will be ideal for you and the rimmy, and if and when you get the centrefire it will do you untill you can shoot the the range of the beam, the only thing you will need for getting to the distance at which the lance is poor at is a better quality scope, so lance should do you for a while.

400m range, i think the lance will do fine for now plus its a neat little lamp.....

i was looking at a deben tracer max , i quite fond of the deben products and it seens quite small in size and doesnt break the bank , yeh you are correct john , i have an application in for variation at the moment been ages now and stil not heard a word.

You know, I love Lightforce, my 170 is great.

 

But Deker has a Tracer Max, mine must be faulty because his lights up about as well as the Lightforce 140 and is much cheaper. One to think about, but I like my 170
