Guest RobW71
Whole Gutted and Skinned Rabbits. They strip the carcass down to the spine, leaving no other mess. In summer remove fresh meat during the day. Cleaned out everyother day no mess, smells Regards Rob Quote Link to post

Guest Woody
Best way mate, rabbits and pigeons ahoy! As for leaving breast on, I usually do, cos I hate pigeon meat, but after a days decoying, I have a few people that ask for birds or breast meat, so someone enjoys it! Quote Link to post
Guest Hedgehunter
We feed meat scraps from local butcher(usually free),roadkill and any meaty scraps from kitchen. We've stopped using dry food as they then drink loads & the shit is wet & messy. Quote Link to post
ferreterno1 0
i only feed a little bit of biscuit because as you say it makes them drink loads. mine get road kills, tined meat, table scraps, cockerals from a local farmer (which are free) feral pigeons, rabbit and wood pigeons. but i never leave the brest on the woodies there too scrummy, and i never give them hole rabbit becuse i eat them, i do give them the ribs and heads so they get a variation. anyway how manny ferrets you got cos that some ferret food you got there. Rabbithunter 456
Why don't you just buy complete ferret food. saves all the mess with carcasses. I often Give them rabbit leg and the backs when i am running out of freezer room. Quote Link to post
Guest RobW71
Mine just leave four feet and a spine, no mess Feed fresh if you can guys, Ferrets are carnivores. Regards Rob Quote Link to post
doddsy1970 9
ferret biscuits are just expensive cat biscuits. i pay £13 a sack for complete cat biscuits, that with plenty of fresh meat as well gives them everything they need. feed mine chudleys ferret biscuits they are £2 for a 15kg sack they have all the minerals and protein that a ferret requires something cat biscuits and dog food dont! I let them have the rabbit skins to play with when i have skinned the rabbits but i dont feed them raw meat they are all very healthy with great coats eyes and teeth. One thing i do give them as a treat is a carton of kitten milk once a week Quote Link to post
Guest holey
Ive never fed the dry stuff..i dont have the need too plus i dont like it anyway..that's just my choice though..Ferret's will eat just about anything carcas wise.. .. Over the years ive fed mine on mice/rat/mole/squirel/rabbit/hare/deer meat...day old chick's and too many differant species of bird to remember.. Most of the time it is full carcases gut's included but if i have a load of gutted gear in they get it gutted.. IMO...if you can get your hand's on a regular supply of fresh animal's you dont need to bother with the dried products.. Millet thanks everyone who replied Quote Link to post
