Wedding gift advice

Recommended Posts

Been invited to a wedding in the near future and was wondering what the going rate is now for presents or gift vouchers etc.

Last time I went to one I think it cost me £3 10s 3d for some towells.

As an average ( if there is one) what would you give in ££££ ????

Most people ask for argos gift vouchers say a tenner or 20 quid whatever you can spare , did you not get a note saying what they wanted with the invite ?

Dont you just place the presents on a table at a wedding? Just pull a few tags off the presents and they'll never know who didnt get them one :victory: thats what i would do anyway. But then again i did give my girlfriend a packet of croissants for her birthday :D

Did she share them with you

I cant remember probably not. I remember i set aside a certain amount of money for her birthday present. But when it came to the crunch i couldn't spend it,, so i offered to take her food shopping instead. She picked up the croissants and some orange juice,, thats when i stepped in and stopped her. I said i'd buy her a proper present in the week knowing full well when she asked for it i'd tell her that boat had past.

Food shopping how romantic, must admit it dont get my knickers wagging but each to there own
