deanflute 550
As a novice i was after some advice on the best time to go ferreting for rabbits..And i mean time of day not month. Is it better really early in the morning or later in the afternoon? Cheers Dean Quote Link to post
Coatesy900 0
Well during the middle day, most of the rabbits will be down in the burrow, so then would theoretically be the best time to do it, but I've found that they are more reluctant to bolt. Its basically a matter of opinion to most, but as I usually do full-day hunts (6 or before to around 8 at night) It didnt really matter what time of day. Quote Link to post
stubby 175
we tend to get to permissions just before 9am, if you think about it, ferreting in the autumn/winter months, means shorter days, therefore best to get out there and start early, have a full day, and be able to finish before it gets dark, incase you have any ferts lay up underground, nothing worst that digging in the dark Quote Link to post

Less people about so less distractions and more time for ferreting. Cheers, D. Quote Link to post
