retrieving

can anyone give me any advice on teaching a pup to retrive to hand?

my 9month old greyxbull is doing everything i want but just cant get him to do this..

used a dummy rabbit in the house first with priase ,but wasnt to keen to bring it back when out side.

thought it would be ok,now hes catching the odd rabbit and i just cant get him to do it...

Back to basics then start back in the house and give him a few retreives if this works take him outside again in a couple of days then try tying the dummy to a bit of string and wind him up with it really torment him and when he's worked into a frenzy toss the dummy...with a bit of luck he'll chase it and grab it...if he doe's this then your half way there...if he grabs it immediately crouch down and call him in...with abit of luck he'll bring it back...you can reward him but not to often...dont overdo it 2 - 3 at most then stop....good luck! :icon_eek:
