Im thinking of buying a s & b 8 x 56 scope what is the differance between the german made one to the hungarian model apart for the hungarian one being cheaper

No difference in quality, just a difference in labour costs!!

 

 

sprags is right.there is no diferance in quality control..but there is a degree of snobbery about these things..

As above go for the cheaper one, i thought the same on the quality side but having seen both out hunting there simply is no difference apart from the labour cost as above so spend the money saved on good mounts...............

the name s&b speaks for itself really you no its going to be top stuff weather its the german one or the one from hungry.

Yeah mate run two Hungarian s&b's 8x56 one 25mm one 30mm tubes myself can't fault them brilliant at collecting light. Knocked one about a fair bit but has never lost its zero. Hope that helps mate.

its an 8x56 and im not sure on tube size mate ill have to look.

I've got a 25mm and and a 30mm Sundaybain and to be honest theres not a lot of difference would of had another 25mm tube but 30 mm was all he had in stock when I picked the rifle up.

I've just been looking around for the best deal on one of these and this is the most competitive site I can find...http://www.lamping.co.uk/scopes.htm. Seems to be far cheaper than other sites. Has anyone dealt with them?

I use a 30mm tube, no particular reason for that but it's a cracking scope!

 

If you haven't bought one yet wait for the Midland Game Fair and haggle for one on the Sunday

Has anyone had anything from www.shootingshack.com in Bolton they have the best priced S&B I have found on the web.
