Hello every-one,

I've just joined your forum and have responded to the request for an intro with this short post:

I'm a female field-sports supporter from the south-west of England, and I have an interest in horses and longdogs.

After a gap of several years without a lurcher, having had an ex-racing greyhound in the interim, I am now looking for a lurcher pup to bring on. She'll be sharing kennel space with a manic cocker (who is, fortunately, an outstanding gun-dog ), so the training process should prove interesting !!

In summary: I don't Shoot, do Hunt, do work Lurchers, have no objection to Ferreting (!), have always fancied a go at Falconry, and own more more wet-weather gear than I can dry at any one time :icon_eek:

Oh, and an apparently 'odd' sense of humour, too. :whistling:

I've joined this forum after being directed to it by a lurcher collar manufacturer, as I felt that it is always interesting to experience other people's opinions and approaches to situations we have in common. I will try to answer any topics as soon as possible but will probably drop by fairly infrequently due to time commitments.

Ok, hope that's the sort of stuff you were expecting, 'cos it's what you got!

Cheers....

Hello Pondrider and welcome to the forum.

Female members are always welcome up here in Lancashire as we find ladies that don't shoot particularly( disarming.)

Also your clothing you describe would be entirely suitable for a visit to the pennines (in summertime.)

Oh and if you want to see some superb lurcher pups take a look on page 2 of the sales and wants.

All the best estagetna
