A Little Story...

Recommended Posts

I went down to the cla gamefair yesterday with the intention of buying a AirArms s410 rifle...

After mooching around gunmakers row, i deceded to invest a fiver on the try before you buy rifle range.

Having never shot a precharged before i decided to try them.

First up was the one i had my heart set on the AirArms s410 rifle it was smooth, accurate and quiet, i found the cocking mechanism to be a bit arkward(i suppose there's a knack to it) but it was not what i expected of it.

Next up was the Falcon Praire it shot as accurate if not more than the AA s410

it also had a smoother cocking mechanism, and a trigger.

I was leaving the range when i noticed that the instructer had not stamped my ticket, so i had the opportunity to try another rifle as we(me and dad) stood there the lady at the end of the range who was demonstrating the Weihrauch hw100k (who turned out to be a qualified instructer) asked us to come over.

Up until now this rifle had never enterd our minds it allways looked to big and bulkey and far to heavy.

After 14 shots i was mega impressed the rifle was perfectly ballanced, and the cocking mechanism was really smooth i was then given the chance to try the full length version and the thumbhole stock did not get on with the thumbhole version as my hands are not that big. The full length shot the same as the carbine but it felt more balanced.

Although the rifle is a bit heavier it did not feel so when into the shoulder, this was the one for me.

(I dint catch your name lady on the end but you spent half an hour with me you know who you are. Thanks)

We payed a visit to my local dealer today Redbeck Shooting Supplies http://www.airrifleshop.co.uk/

Were we purchased the following (Who is the cheapest anywere and is a hull cartridge dealer)

.177 Weihrauch hw100s with MTC Viper 4-16x50 irs scope.

Having got home, and after zeroing this rifle it more a less 1 holes at 45 yards i can not tell you how impressed i am with it...

Thanks Dad...
