Court Design

Recommended Posts

I'm starting new job on monday so finally got some money coming in. Thought I would build a new court as the set up I've got now is alright but needs improvement.

Here's the design for it will keep you updated in a few weeks with the progress.

I was thinking of making it 6 foot, should do really seeing as I'm 6'3" tall.

well i bet you being so tall will benefit from the extra height as kneeling down must be a pain , i wouldnt worry about ferrets falling from that height , had runs here that height & the slide down the mesh or bounce

I have noticed they are quite good at bouncing my two jump of anything don't seem to feel pain when they land in a heap.

There pretty indestrutable  shavings are good to land in

Theres a bloke up the road makes kennels i fancy one with one inch mesh for the ferrets ,but as has been said i'd like it 6 foot plus so you dont need to bend or crawl about when your cleaning them out .But other than that your plans look good

Is this court just going to be set onto concrete? or have a wooden base? want to make one myself but onto concrete for hosing out, not sure if its correct way of doing it though. Good design, height definately an advantage for it though.

Rhodey your much better off with the extra hight, over the years I have made a lot of ferret courts and kennels, some people want low set ups so they can't be seen over garden fences and wall but if you can it makes life a lot easyer if you can stand up in them
