Dan_Jones 7
Ive built a few floors in 1 of my ferret hutches. I was just wondering what would be best to use as grip for them to walk up? Would i use a soft rubber anti slip ladder or a 1 covered in that rough anti slip tapes for best grip and least damage to the weasels :D Quote Link to post
stubby 175
either a piece of 4"x1" sawn timber as a ramp, or corrigated 4" piping borrowed from those roadworks , thats all thats needed, if you look, ferrets have claws, no need to supply them with anti slip rubber matting unless of course were talking "pet ferrets" (ducks in anticipation) Quote Link to post
The one 8,577
If your worried mate put a bit of timber in and just saw a few grooves in it but honestly they wont need it Quote Link to post

Can they still win a nice red rossette if they are bruised ??? Quote Link to post

droid 11
My pet ferrets don't have to climb. too bloody fat, anyway They ring a bell and I lift them gently up using pre-warmed oven gloves. Quote Link to post
Kay 3,709
I have some drainage pipe going from the hutch to the run & just gently sloped it by wedging some wood under certain parts off it & mine run up & down that to get to the lower level Quote Link to post
Meerihunter 7
In my court I have 100% vertical drainage pipes and plenty of very steep sections, they will work away until they figure out how to get up it. It has to physical challenging to them if it's to keep them fit throughout the summer. Quote Link to post
