DDD 4
Which dog is responsible for most bite incidents in the UK? The fluffy Labrador!!!

DogPaddle 0
I have never owned a PitBull, but I have owned and trained many Rottweilers, (both breeds seem to have the media licking their chops over here), and I would dare say that it is not a bad breed or a dangerous breed. It is a breed like others, and with proper breeding and handling, there is no more danger than any other breed in general. JMHO
Neil Cooney. 1
Have to agree with Doyler, a lot of the time the accused is not a pit bull. But the fact is you get bitten by a jack russell you shake him off, you get bitten by a pit bull. Different story. And I've been bitten by both. The poor old pit bull is a victim of his own success and would be better of if he looked like a poodle. Then he'd be still kept by the boys who should have them and not the macho men. jigsaw 11,902
The owner of the pits were drug dealing which assures the general public that the only people keeping the pits are either druggies or dog fighting folk, the cop recieved 100 stitches in the first attack.some days youd wonder what kind of people are out there.its these people that get the breed exterminated.and the thing is they have no regards for the breed or people for that matter. All of them can be dangerous animals. The pit bull needs a better publicist. Even before they were banned there were far more dogs off the DDA, responsible for attacks on people, than those on it. Guest bigredbusa
The pit bull needs a better publicist they did , and they nearly won until he was mowed down and killed in a car accident . cant remember his name , i will try and find out
ChrisJones 7,975
Too late in Britain I agree, I meant internationally. I know many will have their opinion, on him, but Cesar Millan has done alot of PR for pitbulls. I'm surprised how many of the general public have softened their stance because of his TV programs. I'm sure alot of you will laugh, at that, but he's done more for it than our Bull Breeds forum ever did.

gnasher16 31,119
The pit bull needs a better publicist they did , and they nearly won until he was mowed down and killed in a car accident . cant remember his name , i will try and find out Joe Graham was a good man and was certainly a good voice for the silent minority of the time......there was plenty of " Joe " dogs in the early 90,s named after him....however,with all due respect to Joe i think any publicist for the breed today will need a very strong knowledge of law and not just a love of the breed,...unfortunately these days roll your sleeves up type of passion has long since given way to arty farty collar and tie brainpower !
