The CAW skycat? I've done numerous short courses there over the years............

Well the next time your'e there: drop by for a coffee! They're only a mile up the road from me, and the only downside is when you take your dogs there the room is full of those wannabe official p***ks! the last time I was there a year ago my mobile went off as I was holding the dog surrounded by middle aged (in type if not in years) women as they learned how to put in the chip.

You could have heard a pin drop when my phone went off! What was the ring tone? Youv'e guessed it........................hunting horn! :icon_eek::icon_redface::whistling::clapper::clapper: I just said: bloody phone, people always ring when I'm busy, or sommat like that.

The woman that runs the courses is OK though, and knows and understands dogs and knows I work mine.

I know exactly what you mean Skycat :clapper: I did my chipping course a few years back when they had just started offering them to members of the public as well as the veterinary profession. On the application form there were various pricings for breeders, rescues etc. Me and a mate decided to club together as she ran a rescue at the time so we applied and went to the course. At the end of it when we all had to line up at the desk to pay, everyone else was paying their £90 or whatever it was, and then me and my pal paid our rescue fee which was about £30 if I remember right. The looks we got!! :icon_eek: You could feel everyone else in the room going "damn why didnt we think of that" :clapper: and we got some sulky looks from the posh folks with all the pedigree breeds when we were there with a couple of scabby looking lurchers and an old collie :clapper:

Just to add that some councils will do it for free, they come out to your home and chip your pets for nowt, I know that North Lanarkshire council do this, check and see if your council offers the service in your area folks
