Heya guys just a question i need answering please.

Well here i go:

About a year ago me and my mate stopped ferreting for the season and realised we had no way of catching rabbits for ferrets except from shooting and longnetting which takes up a lot of time. So we went on the internet and found out some information about snares, so that was it we had our minds set on buying some snares, so we did. Overall i think we bought about 60 odd, we spent an hour or two pustting pegs on all of them. Then we thought we would head off and start seeting out our 50 snares then we left it for 6 hours untill about 2-3 in the morning and went to check them on the way down we saw loads of rabbits running into the hedge that we set going through the runs and everthing, we thought yes we are going to have bag fulls but as we walked up past all the snares we realised we had no rabbits at all..

We where setting the snares about an inch of the ground but only resting the snares on grass and things like that just to hold up the snares. Sooo all i want reall y is advice on what i was doing wrong and all youre best tips for snaring.??

ATB guys cheers for the advice you give me beforehand.
