no mate, think someone else made that comment, and as I didnt know if that was possible, i therefore could'ent disagree either

we had discussed it only as .. is this possible...

after some thinking and talking things over with my DH... we thought about dogs

the bitch can get pregnant from different dogs at different times..

but she still has the litter at the same time roughly... so its probably not the same thing... if you are concerned get her to the VET!

Money shouldnt come into it, your ferret only has you to look out for her!!!

and if you cant afford her..........................................i dont need to finish that do i :(

AND.....comments like that on a hunting forum give workers a bad name! breeding a jill then not being prepared to take care of her cause of money!

jojo, all your posts that Ive read so far, seem to be critasing, some of our members, are young lads or lasses that own ferrets, if you keep WORKING FERRETS, you dont need money coming out of your ears, the ferret catches what it eats, most aliments can be remedied at home, through posting questions on here, so, just because owners arn't rushing out to a vets, dos'ent mean they should'ent keep ferts, Id suggest you get down from your high horse, either offer good advice, or not, maybe even just stay on the pet ferret sites

LMAO

going to a vets is good advice! i do not know anyone who would risk their jill for 24 hrs just to save £40! and thats workers, breeders and pet keepers.

In my opinion as an animal site you should be promoting responsible ferret husbandry, pet working or breeder, i have friends who do all 3 and they have the cash to back them up, even £50 and a promise to the vet is good enough to secure a life saved

why risk a good worker?

if you dont want me here then just say so! i am big enough to open me gob to you all! i can take it like a man :drinks::angel:

i am only trying to offer blunt advice, you are all big fellas, i am sure you can handle with me

how is getting a snipped hob cheaper than going to a vets, if your getting your own hob down, that's £50 plus, or you have to hope someone near to where you live, has one they can loan out,so Im not saying, if they havent the funds, dont keep ferts, I'll agree on the dont breed bit, but how many actually take the advice and how many go ahead and breed, I would think more breed, therefore, when they need the advice, as they cant afford the vets bill, isint it better to give advice, rather than just quoting, "go to the vets" and "you shouldent keep ferts"I dont mentally go out to critasise, but if you check the posts, Im critasing newbies mostly this last week or so, as we seem to have an influx of them :wallbash:

Look mate, there was nothing wrong with her right through the whole pregnancy, birth and theres nothing wrong with her now. So why the hell would i take her to the vets if there was nothing wrong with her?
