Recommended Posts

I am led to beliaeve that it is important to teach my lurcher to jump. he seems to be getting good at it as he will clear a barbed wire fence with ease. how high can a lurcher jump i have read in books that they have been known to clear a minibus???is there a record out there to be beaten??

My dog can piss a 6 foot fence panel with ease i dont think its so much the height issue but

the width that would be a problem

6ft fence ...! Looks like i am going to have to raise the heights of my garden fences. the clever lil f'''k has already jumped onto the ferret cage and over the top of an 8ft wall to a main road twice.. ;):(

Well when my lurcher was alive he cleared the full length of a car to get to a cat , luckly the dog was captured quickly & the driver was not to badly effected by the incident

ask him

Be careful with regards to pups jumping! Their bones aren't fully formed till about 15 months (dependant on the breed).

My 7 month old fecker scared the shit out of me by clearing a 7 foot round bar cattle grid a while back, from a standing jump! Cheers, D.

i've never really checked the height of my lurcher jumping but what ever i gone over my lurcher as followed with ease and the best 1 so far is when we was out lamping and rio off this site was standing in the middle of a kissing gate running a young dog on a rabbit my dog managed to get out the window and jumped the gate and rio standing in the middle so i would say about 5"8 is the best mine as jumped at the moment
