I can't say whether you are a "Load Mouth " or not, I don't know you ,and between you and me ,I don't know what a "Load Mouth " is. I think this topic has run its course,no pun intended,I'm gone. whin 463
what a load of shite any body who thinks killing game after end of march april ,well they are not sportsman never will be true coursing guys, when legal ,with decent jukels ,wouldnt boast of killing pregnent does young leverets , im surrounded in certein areas, hare roe the only way i would go out my way was well food or getting payment for it ,but in no sense would i think sportsmen , to me fox rabbit is vermin, the brown hare the roe is game, hence game laws and game licences and the old adage, im bringing a pup on well how long do you bring them on till the hares cant run through the winter wheat or spring barley till the dogs cant see them because the corns to high, localy there plenty of hares in some areas and there no way of them being scarce , and they can still run hard on short spring barley etc but realy there nothing worse if your dog kills a pregnant roe hare even by mistake , people who kill summer animals well want to keep it quiet and i wouldnt bragg about it , ive caught game with full bellies by mistake no pleasure for me , all the best Quote Link to post

Some of the people on here said they ran summer hares to bring on their pups and give them confidence.I said that they could do that in September when hares are still not as wised up or as strong as a good January hare.then the would drasticaly lessen the risk of killing a pregnant or nursing doe.I remember you stating on the video clips page that "HARES DON'T GO DOWN HOLES".IMO ANYONE WHO MAKES SUCH A STATEMENT HAS VERY LIMITED EXPERIENCE OF COURSING. Guest dotty
i personally haven't seen it happen myself, i'm sure that it has. it sounded like the person who said that they would go down them thought they where like rabbits. as a general rule they don't tend to go in holes, but it may happen. same as a pheasant squirrel owl etc.... and your right i don't have much coursing experience. i'm not really up to scratch from 2005. don't know about you (none of my buisness) but i know my fair share. i don't want another bloody arguement. everythings been said so lets leave it at that. I don't think we have had an argument, for the record hares will go to ground or sough in rabbit holes ,foxholes ,badger setts pipes ,just about any available haven ,there are many hares on coursing videos going to ground,Ive seen it happen many times ,pre ban,in fact I have seen two hares go in the same hole immediately behind each other. Peace to you anyway. Quote Link to post
