what pellets should i use in my super ten carbine bullbarrel 22???

i no every body asks

my mate says airarms fields .

and bisley mags please help me save bit cash ....

it depends mate each rifle can be different even if they are the same make. but aa and bisley mags are good

thats what i use in mine and they good well even at 30 ftlb. you could try jsb pellets to there abit better the air arms

pellets as the skirts of the aa pellets are very easy to damage and a lot of tins ive have have had loads ov bent ones in.

Jamie had it spot on in the first reply.

Trouble is different barrels do like different pellets.

There are lots of excellent pellets out there but some are terrible in some barrels and brilliant in others.

AA Field and Bisley Magnum are rated up to 30ft lb, but my opinion is that Bisley magnum are too heavy in a 12ft lb gun unless you are shooting very close range. The AA field do suffer from bent skirts because the alloy is soft, this is taken up virtually instantly down the barrel and will generally have no effect on the flight.

Accupels, FTT, and a few others are worth a try..domed will give you the best accuracy, flat, pointed and HP suffer in various degrees with inconsistancy of shot.

The only real answer to your question is try a few :thumbs:

I was told exacty the same thing Deker when I phoned Air Arms to complain about damaged skirts on their pellets. They said the pressure of the air would reshape the damaged skirts.I was even told to try them out if I didn't believe them. :hmm:

So off I went to shoot some targets,I put 5 good pellets through the barrel and the accuracy was spot on.

Then I selected 5 pellets with damaged skirts and the difference was unmistakable,i hit everything except the bull.

So that's what it was, :whistling: and here's me thinking it was the damaged skirts.:D

I just recently had a air arms S200 and i use field target tophies they are amazing had about 10 packs in the past and not one faut the are small fast flyin solid pellets and hard to over penatrate really hard and compact.

i get grouping of a 10pence peice even smaller at 30 yards and they dot drop much because of thier weight.

hope it helps mate :gunsmilie:

I use JSB exact Diabolo in my HW100 .22, as seen here http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Ea4PsyFzRuQ .I find the same thing as Deker the AAs are accurate as JSB as long as they arent damaged but the bent ones don't go straight in my rifle.

I use RWS Hpoint for ratting just to plug my video again here ;)http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=brZfAFvlBD0

air arms pellets are made by jsb. they just have the air arms name on the tin thats all

its like some other places that have stuff made by the same firm. but there brand is on it.

i wouldnt use biz mags in standard 12ftlb 22cal air rifle but i use them in a 12ftlb 177 air rifle to 3o yards

and then use lighter air arms ones in the 22 to 30 yards and in the 177 to 40 yard

in fac air arms are good to 28ftlb to 30 ftlb as long as the skirts are not damaged

and biz mags 30ftlb and over. but i stick to 30ftlb in fac anyway and never go over it. wastes to much air and for not any gain really. as a extra 5 ftlb isnt really going to kill a rabbit at a greater distance then the 30ftlb will.

and your be surprized how many less shots you would get by just upping the power 5ftlb to 35 from 30.

I was well aware that many pellets are simply branded and very few firms make their own, but I was not aware JSB made the AA pellets.:thumbs:
