woz 260
cz 452 17hmr.... i'll bet you stop using the 22... in wind they still do 70 yard head shots with ease and on still days there outstanding... Quote Link to post
dwighet 1
Stick with CZ my friend.....I have one and Most of my shootn buddies have one and you will never hear a bad word spoken about em..BUY a brooks trigger kit for it which is the price of 8-9 pints and you`ll be happy. Where do you buy your beer?? You should get the kit for about twelve quid . Stick with the .22 for range up to 100yds so you can stay in "stealth mode". HMRs are good but noisey. CZ are very good, but if your budget is only for the gun, not the whole set-up, get a HW 60 J. You definately won't need a trigger kit for one of those. Possibly the best .17HMR on the market. I hate to say it, but german engineering takes some beating. Quote Link to post

Do you like your .22, CZ452? Sort of answers the question I think! Quote Link to post
jamie g 17
it depends what you want in a hmr really. i have the annie 1517 and i think its the best hmr you can get. but as the 17 hmr round is a accurate bullet anyway there isnt much if any! difference in any of the different make rifles. ie a annie isnt anymore as accurate as a cz most of the hmr rifle well group under 1inch at 100 yards. its up to you really if i was getting one again then i would get a cz and get the trigger kit for it. you would have money left for a good scope then. or if you have one for it allread.y you could use the money for a mod and bullets and clearning rod and bits for it. dont forget a boreguide. on the other hand if you have the money to spend go for the annie hmr. great trigger as it is and can be adjusted to break like glass. the bolt on it is super smooth and a joy to use. the barrel is 18inch so its a good pick between the 16inch and the 20 inch cz. the build is better then the cz. the only downfalls which shouldnt be there for a rifle of that money is it only has a 4 shot mag which is poor really. and the stock is very plain on it and at the price they are is poor. dont get me wrong it has a good front and pistol grip on it but the finish is poor for the cost. what i done is go secondhand and for 500 you could get a like new on with thumbhole walnut stock ! which is very nice and fits a treat. the only reason i swappes over is im lefthanded and i new i could sell the stock on and get a standard one in the deal and i look after my rifles but im not worried about getting the stock knocked so it didnt bother me. but must admit i wouldnt have liked to get the thumbhole stock battered up which ever you pick you wont go wrong with accuracy. it just depends on how much you want to spend Quote Link to post

The HW has great accuracy, a great trigger and a beautiful stock. .......oh and it's cheaper too... Quote Link to post
