maty j 6
I use the 350d Mark. sure you've seen a few of my snaps and i find it quite good. are you gonna be using it on the warrens, mooching lamping or just pics of the dogs daytime. the 350 is quite small till you get the 75-300mm lens on it but the one it comes with isnt up to much if the subject is any distance away so dont forgrt a decent lense. you can get the camera quite cheap on ebay now and i picked my lens up for under 100 so you dont need to spend alot if you dont want to.. Pignut 4
Serious stuff = when I go out on a shoot for the day and am earning my living with the results! As for lens, yes it is heavy but if I am using it, I do not have a 2 terrier and 1 lurcher attachment. If I took them, I would require someone to look after them on my behalf. Usual shoots do not include the dogs, sadly (though I wish it did, but I seriously know my limitations!) I also make sure I have a decent neck strap - this helps alot and I use the OP/TECH PRO LOOP CAMERA STRAP which is very good as it has a certain amount of give (spring) in it. I can thoroughly recommend that piece of kit. When I was in Nepal last year, I got a very heavy headache when trekking all day in the Himalayas. When I removed the camera (different one), my headache disappeared. It was obviously the weight of that camera. So, as for the lens. It is far too good to take out with dogs if you are responsible for the dogs too. It is also too expensive for that! Get someone to look after the dogs on your behalf. Also use a lens cover - £30 will protect £1,500 of lens! Worth every penny. Cheers Pignut
Pignut 4
Cross country = out and about = get a Canon Powershot G9 - small, good lens and works well. Pignut
