.357shooter 1,528
Went back to Essex for another go at finding a big tooth but still no joy.finds this year were way down on last year.found about 160 in 5 days.last time would have been 350 plus so not good.not very busy so just down to bad timing I guess.anyway health issues and not really upto putting in the miles and bending down to see these little teeth all the time is getting a bit much.so a couple of pictures to show what I found.the black circular object is a bony fish vertebrae which is very old.might be 200million or so. mackem 31,923
@.357shooter you think its the popularity of shark tooth hunters that's causing a reduction in finds or maybe the tides?Did you do a fossil finding tour when you went to Drumheller?
.357shooter 1,528
I think that ultimately there are only so many left and each year more and more are looking.no did not take a tour at drumheller.just really went in the shop and bought a few fossils.like most things it is all down to luck and maybe mine has run out.the beaches were completely different this time with a lot less patches of shale where most teeth would be found.so many things this time were against me .

Maybe the tides mate?Bit like metal detecting,a nice swell or even better a storm to take the top sand off. You can do Meg Tooth finding tours in the states, some of them find a lot.
