.357shooter 1,404 Posted November 2 Report Share Posted November 2 So 6 weeks after this little op and my hand is still useless.can not spread butter on my toast or cut dinner with a knife FFS . getting fed up with not seeing much improvement.last major scabs were removed last Tuesday so still have two big holes that are still bleeding when exercising.best bit no pay just SSP at £143 a week . physio just says sometimes it takes longer to heal.hurts like a bitch and codeine phosphate does not help much.is there any light at the end of the tunnel? .357shooter 1,404 Posted December 16 Author Report Share Posted December 16 Great news after 13 weeks and 4 days I can make a fist with all fingers touching my palm.not very quick recovery.still no strength with the grip though.right hand grip is 10 per cent of left hand FFS .a warning to anyone who has this surgery is have plenty of money in the bank .still no benefits since being disabled and I think it will take another 3 months before I can work again . still can not use a knife. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
