philpot 5,100
Some of you may recall that I had one of these in .22 which I had been thinking of having a Mark Dempsey tune and shround/mod fitting but as it was a .22 I just decided not to go ahead and sold it. Today I popped into the rfd and on the rack was a mint P35 in .177 with a full Mark Dempsey tune and shroud/mod............................. well of course I had to pick it up. This thing is nothing short of lovely in the shoulder and compares well with an FX Wildcat. This gun is so quiet, you could barely hear it being fired, by far the quietest air rifle I have ever come across and it left me wanting but the price was £600 so when a new one with scope can be bought for less than that, it was not viable although the manager immediately knocked off £100 before I even got into 'deal mode' which is now in my mind. I will pop in on Saturday to try it out in their 25mt range then we will have to give some serious thought into the potential deal possibly getting rid of my .22 Ultra. I am also thinking of selling my .25 Impact fac as I am just not using it anymore, infact I have almost stopped night hunting altogether so a .177 for some ferals / rats / squirrels and the odd rabbit would be ideal ongoing and not renew my fac ticket. I really cannot get of my mind another HW110 in .177 as well because the ones I had were very accurate in fact I remember shooting two rabbits one night with me Nitesite on at 63mts head shots.....................sell the Impact first then look around. My brain hurts......... Phil Quote Link to post
molehill 9
What's the chances of that, chuffed for you. I let my FAC airgun go. But for me because of no rabbiting permissions anymore (lack of time so lost them) hope It does well for you sir. 1 Quote Link to post
philpot 5,100
I am disapointed to say the least after a session testing the P35 yesterday with 3 different pellets, AA Field, JSB Exact and H&N FTT, the very best group I could get (fully rested) was around 35mm at 25mt. Very strange, I might get 3 or 4 pellets in a clover leaf then the next two are tight but 25mm away then a change again. I was also getting a puff of air on my cheek so there is an air leak. I told the rfd and he tried to sort it with no avail so that went back on the rack for somebody else to buy. I will be talking to another rfd to perhaps sell the Impact fac to him and possibly my Ultra to replace with a .177 hw110 if I can find one or maybe an FX DRX but not sure on that. Anyone interested in two Nitesite units. Phil Quote Link to post

I did not have a single shot loader to try but there were too many flyers to live with. Looks like an HW110 or a DRS has gone back to the top of the list again. 1 Quote Link to post

Nice little things if your after something compact. I have had a few compact guns but the NP02 whilst was very accurate, it has too long a stock for me and after stripping the butt pad off, it would be ok as my test showed in my local rfd shop but in all honesty, I am not a fan of the bottle next to my cheek added to that unlike the FX Verminator, they use a heavy steel air bottle. Good value for money and will do a job well enough but not for me. Thanks for you input however. Phil 1 Quote Link to post

molehill 9
That's bad Daniel, I use a single shot tray on mine so not had any mag issues but the mags i have seemed to work fine after limited use. I must admit mine is a nightmare to fill as the probe leaks when I use my compressor but is ok with a dive bottle. 1 Quote Link to post
